г. Fifth in the race and best Russian In today’s Mass Start Ivan Tcherezov again showed the best result among Russian biathletes. Starting from the second row during all the first lap Ivan was in the second half of the pursuers but shooting perfect in the first prone Ivan ranked 9th with 18,2 seconds deficit. At the 4,8 km intermediate the gas shortened a bit and was 14,4 seconds. At the 5,2 km intermediate – 14.5 seconds. Ivan ranked third. After perfect second shooting session Ivan continued the race ranking 4th, 14,9 seconds behind. At the 7,8 km intermediate Ivan still ranked 4th, 18,6 seconds behind. 8,2 km intermediate – the gap has already become 20 seconds. Two errors in the third shooting session and 6th rank with 1:12,3 seconds deficit. On the lap 4 Ivan ranked 7th. After faultless shooting in the last standing stance Ivan was again 4th. But unfortunately on the final lap he was slower than his follower Frode Andresen (Norway) and finally ranked 5th. Maxim Tchoudov 7 (1 0 2 0), Sergei Rozhkov 11 (0 1 1 0). Ole Einar Bjoerndalen from Norway won the race. Raphael Poiree (France) was second. Frode Andresen (Norway) – third. In the Women Mass Start Russian ladies showed following results: Olga Zaitseva 5 (1 0 1 0), Natalia Guseva 14 (2 0 1 1), Olga Pyleva 22 (2 0 0 2), Anna Bogaliy-Titovets 23 (1 1 2 1).
