г.   Silver Relay In today’s Men Relay Russian squad (Ivan Tcherezov, Nikolay Kruglov, Pavel Rostovtsev and Sergei Tchepikov) ranked second in the end. Ivan Tcherezov performed on the first leg. With one error in the prone Ivan continued the race with 9th place, 12,8 seconds behind Vyacheslav Derkach (Ukraine), who was the leader at that time. At the 3,6 km intermediate Ivan was already the 5th and 7,8 seconds behind the new leader – German Ricco Gross. 4,4 km intermediate – Ivan still ranks 5th with 10,3 seconds gap. Thanks to flawless shooting in the standing stance Ivan continued the race in the third place, 8,6 seconds behind the German sportsman. 6,6 km intermediate – Ivan shortens the deficit by 1,1 seconds. At the 6,9 km intermediate Ivan was even able to become the leader leaving Ricco Gross 0,8 seconds behind. Only unfortunate smash with German biathlete almost at the finish line didn’t afford Ivan Tcherezov to finish his leg ranking first. That`s why Nikolay Kruglov started his leg 3,4 seconds behind Alexander Wolf. Ivan Tcherezov showed the best course time among all biathletes who performed on the first leg and his shooting time during the second shooting session was the best. Nikolay Kruglov’s shooting was flawless and he finished his leg ranking first, so Pavel Rostovtsev (leg 3) was almost 50 seconds ahead of his pursuers. First shooting was perfect but in the standing stance Pavel had three misses and his advantage shortened by only 20 seconds. Sergei Tchepikov started the last leg 17 seconds ahead of all of his followers. But because of 2 errors in the prone he dropped to second position, 22,7 seconds behind German Michael Greis. And even faultless shooting in the standing stance didn’t afford Sergey Tchepikov to approach the German biathlete. Finally Russian squad ranked second, 36,6 seconds behind the winners of the Relay – the German squad. France ranked third.
